The Headmaster's House at Wrekin College was in need of refurbishment. SRC were asked to carry out a detailed survey of the roof, and propose a specification. SRC suggested overlaying the existing roof with Sarnafil G410-12 ELF Light Grey. The benefits of this were that the building could remain occupied throughout the duration of the contract.

The existing water tank was on the roof and was still operational. SRC were tasked with providing waterproofing around the tank during the course of refurbishing the rest of the roof.
There was also the matter of water pipes protruding through the roof.
Firstly, a frame was erected around the water tank which was clad with 19mm WBP plywood by our in-house carpentry team.
The water pipes were boxed in and waterproofed using Sarnafil G410-12 EL.
An access door was put in to the water tank housing. It was then waterproofed using Sarnafil G410-12 EL.
A passive vent was installed.
Sarnafil flashings to the existing chimney.
A new rooflight was installed, and a redundant kerb was flashed in. The roof was handed over to the client free from defect and in a clean and tidy condition.
